Energy efficiency at SZAE
As part of our environmental program and with a view to sustainability, an air-water heat exchanger has been installed into the air compressor at the Malbergen site. This feeds a large part of the waste heat generated during compressed air production into the service water system.
The advantages of using the air heat exchanger in the air compressor are manifold. The energy consumption for hot water preparation can be reduced considerably, since the available waste heat is used. The consumption of hot water for hand washing is completely covered and also the shower water can be heated almost completely by the waste heat. This leads to cost savings and a lower environmental impact with a relatively small outlay.
There are other exciting projects in the pipeline as part of our environmental program, which we will keep you informed about here in the news section.
Energy efficient today - sustainable tomorrow. We protect the environment and save resources.
